Derek E. Solomon, Cohen & Company

Derek E. Solomon, CPA, MA Principal Derek is a Principal in the firm's Litigation Services and Business Valuations Department where he focuses on economic damages analyses for individuals and corporations, as well as forensic, business valuation and bankruptcy matters. In addition, Derek works with clients in the manufacturing, information systems and professional services industries. Derek is on the Board of Trustees of Economics America and is a former Chairman of its program committee. He is a member of the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts, the National Association of Forensic Economics, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Ohio Society of CPAs. Derek is an author of numerous articles published in Legal Cents, a quarterly newsletter covering CPA litigation services for lawyers After graduating from Allegheny College with a degree in Economics, Derek completed the accounting sequence at John Carroll University and received his Masters Degree in Economics at Cleveland State University. As a former collegiate soccer player, he helped organize the firm's soccer teams. He enjoys outdoor activities and watching the Indians.
