Robert A. Velotta, Cohen & Company

Robert A. Velotta, CPA, MT Senior Manager As a Senior Manager in our Tax Department, Rob works closely with broker-dealers and mutual funds, investment advisors and other investment companies with taxation issues specific to that industry. He has assisted his clients with structuring start-ups, mergers and liquidations of investment entities, and tax treatment of various derivative instruments. Rob also has experience with high net worth individuals and manufacturing, distribution and real estate clients. Rob, a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, received his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University and his Masters of Taxation from the University of Akron. He has taught undergraduate accounting courses at John Carroll University and has been published in The Tax Adviser. He lives in Willoughby with his wife, Michelle, and son, Thomas.
