Alex Hocking, CPA

Alex’s passion for what he does is evident from day one. He truly enjoys the challenge of digging deep into clients’ ever-changing investment portfolios to help them in their pursuit of alpha.

Alex began focusing on valuation issues soon after joining the firm in 2008. His unique niche includes assessing the valuation and risk of various types of securities, as well as accounting for complex investments. He has experience in the valuation of many investment types, including mortgage-backed securities, equity-linked notes, church bonds, SBA 504 First Lien Loans, warrants, complex OTC derivatives, defaulted bonds, asset-backed securities and non-exchange traded instruments. Alex is also responsible for the risk assessment and due diligence performed on all of the firm’s independent pricing services.

Alex loves to travel, golf and play coed sports. One of his other favorite pastimes is keeping up on world news and politics. Alex lives in Avon Lake, Ohio, with his dog.
