After beginning his career in 1981 and gaining experience at Big 4 firms, Dennis founded his own firm, where he served as managing partner for over 20 years. He delivers sophisticated tax, accounting and business consulting services to clients that need and welcome sound, well-reasoned and defensible solutions to complex financial problems. With a focus on high-net-worth individuals, Dennis advises on wealth transfer planning and compliance, optimization of pooled family investment structures, income tax planning around major liquidity events and state tax minimization for trusts. In the corporate context, he works with clients to plan, design and implement accounting and inventory methods, capitalization structures, holding company structures designed to minimize tax burden, various entity structures, and federal and state tax credit studies. Dennis has worked extensively with both inbound and outbound corporate structures and has significant experience with consolidated tax returns and multi-state reporting. He serves clients spanning several industries, including manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, retail and real estate.
Dennis and his wife reside in Amherst, New York. He loves being with his family and spending time outdoors. Together, they enjoy hiking, biking, running and skiing. Dennis and his wife have climbed over 30 of the highest 46 peaks in New York’s Adirondack Park, and he has run five marathons. He is an active reader, with a library that spans across all genres.
