Clients appreciate John for his open and accessible communication style and his straightforward approach to collaborating through difficult audit scenarios. He values the opportunity to be a resource for clients throughout the year — not just during the audit cycle.
Beginning his career in public accounting in 2000, John collaborates with clients and other industry professionals on accounting and assurance issues for registered and private investment companies. He works with mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, interval funds, fund-of-funds, funds with consolidated foreign corporations, master-feeder structures and Cayman Island-registered funds. He maintains significant expertise with the proper accounting and presentation of funds with various underlying investments, including foreign investments, life settlement contracts, REIT holdings, underlying funds, asset-backed securities and derivatives. John also has experience with accounting for and implementation of incentive fee arrangements, fulcrum fee arrangements, fund reorganizations, consolidations and master-feeder level allocation considerations.
John lives in Delanco, New Jersey, with his wife, their two children and their dog. Though he is a New Jersey resident, John’s real passion is spending time in Vermont. He loves being outside as much as possible and enjoys skiing, hiking and ATVs.
