Jon has focused on state and local taxation since beginning his accounting career in 2007 and works with clients of all sizes, from locally owned businesses to publicly traded multinational companies. Always aiming to help clients obtain favorable tax results whenever possible, his deep experience ranges from advising on income, franchise, and sales and use tax compliance; to helping clients conduct tax planning related to entity structuring, optimization strategies around apportionment; to understanding nexus in a post-Wayfair world to tax controversy at all levels. Jon is highly experienced in state and local tax controversies, including audit defense, appeals and refund claims. He also conducts buy- and sell-side due diligence, including proactive planning and tax effective entity planning.

Jon resides in Findlay, Ohio, with his wife and kids. He is actively involved with his kids’ school, including serving as the public address (PA) announcer for varsity sports and hosting a podcast focused on varsity sports teams. Jon enjoys cooking and caters barbecuing events in the summer. He is also the founder of Every Eagle Eats, a nonprofit aimed at reducing student lunch debt and providing healthy food for food challenged families.
