Nick Antonopoulos, CPA

With a proven ability to guide organizations in the real estate industry through complex accounting and compliance challenges, Nick cultivates strong relationships and develops teams that can handle anything that comes their way. Clients and colleagues alike comment on his genuine enthusiasm when it comes to answering accounting and financial reporting questions.  

Nick began his public accounting career immediately upon graduating college in 1987 and was immersed on Day One in the real estate industry. Widely recognized for his expertise in audit, assurance and financial reporting for the real estate industry, he is known for his deep knowledge regarding the treatment of real estate acquisitions. Nick performs technical and engagement quality control reviews (EQCRs) for real estate entities in all sectors, including real estate investment trusts (REITs). His prior experience includes overseeing the audit, tax and financial reporting service delivery for a global firm’s real estate practice. While in this role, he managed complex audit and tax engagements with one of the largest real estate and private equity firms in the U.S., composed of both public and private entities; managed multiple concurrent engagements with multi-billion-dollar clients; led the creation and management of an industry-focused financial reporting outsourcing practice and expanded the firm’s real estate client base in all service lines.

Nick resides in Glenview, Illinois, with his wife and has two adult children. When he’s not working on projects around the house, Nick enjoys spending time as a photo enthusiast taking pictures in numerous trips over the years in places like Hawaii and Greece.
