Nick Longo

With a strong technical background, Nick enjoys conducting research and staying current with developments in state tax law. Couple that knowledge with his outgoing personality and genuine desire to get to know clients, and Nick is the perfect person to collaborate with on just about any project.

Nick has over 35 years of professional experience in the state and local tax space. He has successfully led and managed teams to perform sales and use tax refund reviews (reverse audits) for large multinational companies — many of which have resulted in significant savings, as well as better procedures and processes for clients’ compliance function in the future. Nick’s expertise also includes audit defense, voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs), tax matrices and corporate restructuring, as well as process improvements. His background spans several industries, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, oil and gas, mining, financial institutions, life sciences, and food and beverage. Nick has also served as principal at the largest state and local tax firm in the country and has Big 4 experience.

Nick resides in Highland Heights, Ohio, with his wife. A self-described “big family guy,” he loves spending time with his two children and new grandchild! Some of Nick’s favorite memories with his family include going to Ohio State football games and traveling to Hilton Head for vacations. He also enjoys watching baseball at Progressive Field and playing golf.
