Beginning his own career as an entrepreneur, Patrick can personally relate to owners of privately held businesses and their concerns surrounding complex tax issues. Now spending much of his time on the constantly changing environment of state and local taxation, Patrick approaches this critical area with the lens of a business owner and their needs.
Patrick focuses primarily on pass-through entity taxation in numerous sectors, including personal services, real estate developers and rental real estate, private equity and manufacturing. Additionally, he works in the area of transaction services, conducting tax due diligence regarding income/franchise, sales/use tax, property tax and nexus exposures for mergers and acquisitions.
Patrick resides in Solon, Ohio, with his wife and son. He looks forward to teaching his son the joys of traveling abroad and experiencing new things — such as bungee jumping off a cliff in New Zealand (which he and his wife have already done!).
