Peter takes a holistic approach to helping clients find solutions. Whether working with fund managers, trading entities or investors, Peter goes beyond listening and asks probing questions that help identify the most tax opportunities available.
With over 20 years of tax and accounting experience both in the U.S. and abroad, Peter’s expertise spans the areas of investment banking, financial services and alternative investments. He has a thorough understanding of the structure and operations of hedge funds, commodity pools, foreign corporations and other investment vehicles. A leader in the fund tax group, Peter’s role includes tax return preparation services, tax planning, research and other consulting services for investment vehicles in the alternative investment industry. His specific responsibilities include tax planning and compliance, Schedules K-1 and PFIC statement preparation, U.S. foreign reporting, investment partnership tax documentation, private equity tax compliance and consulting.
Whether it comes to finding new tax opportunities or new personal experiences, Peter does not settle for status quo. A resident of Baltimore County, Maryland, with his wife and three children, Peter loves discovering and experiencing new restaurants just as much as he loves discovering upcoming and talented artists and musicians. He is curious about different cultures and enjoys traveling to meet new people and experience their customs. He and his family have traveled throughout Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and the Caribbean. During his travels, he obtained his PADI open water dive certification in a freezing cold English lake where he had to explore hidden treasures such as buses, cars and sunken UFOs. When he finds himself at home, Peter coaches soccer, gardens and volunteers in his community.
