Tracy Whetstone, CPA

Tracy is skilled at building relationships and working collaboratively to solve problems and achieve goals. Throughout her career, she has established an extensive track record of identifying risks in all areas of a business and creating solutions to address those risks. 

Tracy has over 30 years of professional experience, with expertise in audit and advisory engagements. Her background includes both public and private accounting roles, including serving as national director of financial services at a national CPA firm. Tracy has held prominent roles in critical practice management areas, including risk management; created and facilitated training programs, both technical and developmental; and devised and championed various employee engagement and mentoring programs. In her current role, Tracy focuses on quality control in both client engagements and for the firm overall. She performs engagement quality control reviews (EQCRs) on registered funds and assists Cohen & Company internally with independence matters and PCAOB inspections.

Tracy and her husband have three children and reside in Chicago, Illinois. She loves to travel, with her favorite spots being Hawaii and Europe. Tracy can also be found traveling across the country to watch her son run cross country and track.
