“Tough times don’t last. Tough teams do.” A huge sports fan, Alane believes in teamwork. A leader in the firm’s Family Wealth Group, she passionately serves others in a variety of ways. Alane is integrally involved on the board for Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and assists numerous other local nonprofits with fundraising efforts through her work with the Professional Advisors Council of the Akron Community Foundation and as an Allied Professional Partner with Leave A Legacy (Summit, Portage and Medina).
“Share your own experience, struggles and all, with others.” Marie is transparent about her own career journey to support young professionals with their personal growth and career development. Co-leader of the go-to-market efforts for closely held businesses and leader of the Not-for-Profit Group, Marie is also passionate about supporting women in the accounting industry. She’s an inaugural member of The Ohio Society of CPAs Women’s Initiatives Committee and mentors young women at the firm.
“If you never try, you’ll never know.” Lisa not only says yes to skydiving or rappelling down a building for charity, but also putting herself out there for the betterment of her hometown. Leader of the Youngstown office and a leader in the firm's Real Estate & Construction Group, Lisa has immersed herself in the community since her days at Cardinal Mooney High and YSU. Today, she serves on YSU’s Honors College Advisory Board, Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation Finance Committee and REVITALIZE Home Mortgage Board of Directors.
“When I commit to something, I am all in.” Kim truly dedicates herself 100% to anything she takes on, whether that’s serving on the firm’s Board or leading the Partnership Tax Group. Her passions also include serving as Chair of the Akron Walk to End Alzheimer’s and actively participating on the Accounting Advisory Council for Kent State University. Previously, Kim served in leading roles for Habitat for Humanity of Summit County and Commercial Real Estate Women of Akron.
“You need to put deposits in with people before making a withdrawal.” A recent graduate of Cleveland Leadership Center’s Bridge Builders Program, Angel is always more than ready to help others. She serves as the Education Committee Chair for NAIOP Northern Ohio and as the team lead for the firm’s Cleveland office. A member of Cohen & Company’s Real Estate and Construction Group, Angel also often shares her expertise in Qualified Opportunity Zones with businesses hoping to invest in distressed communities.
“Relationships are the backbone behind any strong business.” Lindsay thrives on creating genuine relationships with everyone she meets. But her sense of connection to others doesn’t end with work. She maintains strong ties to her alma mater, Ohio University, serving on its Accounting Advisory Council and immerses herself in staff development and recruiting at the firm. She also leads the GIPS® practice and is integrally involved in the risk management team that supports ongoing PCAOB compliance.
"Do your best to be a reliable and good team member." Trinette works hard to help her team accomplish their shared goal. Head of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Group, she also leads the firm’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity in Action (IDEA) Team. The IDEA Team is dedicated to expanding dialogue within our firm, outlining actionable goals, and identifying and executing on sustainable and impactful activities that can become a lasting part of our culture.
“Success never belongs to just one person.” As a leader in the firm's Transaction Tax Planning Group, Sam ensures her team knows there is room for everyone to be successful, feel valued and contribute. As a mother of two young children, Samantha is committed to the mentorship of young women in the workplace as well diversity and inclusion in general. Sponsoring the next generation of leaders is always a top priority. She understands that sharing her experiences to help others find a path to success is important.
